The Southern Oregon Chinese Cultural Association is planning a series of events around the Chinese New Year, culminating with celebrations on Saturday, February 7, 2009, in Jacksonville, Oregon.  The day starts off with a 5K run, the Lion Dance and Parade, demonstrations throughout the afternoon, and an ethnic and historic fashion show.   A local newspaper article  in the Mail Tribune summarizes all the events
