The "Wings and Waves" Birding Festival will host many events for avid birders and even those who are novice to the world of bird watching.
Events during the three-day festival include $500 Bird Count Contest, live music from three bands, an "All Things Birds" art exhibit, lectures from West Coast bird experts, the start and completion of the World's Largest Birds Nest, kayaking trips on Siletz Bay (18 and over only) and much more.
Tickets are $25 per person per day or $30 for a weekend pass. Youths under the age of 16 get into festival free. For tickets or further information, contact the Audubon Society of Lincoln City at 541-992-0440 or visit www.lincolncityaudubon.com.
The Oregon Bed & Breakfast Guild has many members providing the best in Oregon coast lodging. The Lake House Bed & Breakfast is located only two miles away from downtown Lincoln City on a freshwater lake (more birding opportunities!). The inn offers two guestrooms with private entrances, cable TV, and wireless internet. Innkeepers Red & Mary serve a full, traditional breakfast to start your day of birding.
Make your reservations now for this new festival weekend before the Lake House Bed & Breakfast is full!
