Frommer's Budget Travel recently presented their 10 best places worldwide to "pop the question." Here at the Oregon Bed & Breakfast Guild, we surveyed our innkeepers for their favorite location to "pop the question" in Oregon. Here's another installment in time for Valentine's Day. Now, this is a way to use a bed & breakfast to extend your proposal celebration among friends.
A Winery in the heart of Oregon Wine Country is the pick for the Chehalem Ridge Bed & Breakfast. Here's what they have to say:
We had one guest who had done a little bit of planning to make the beginning of their engagement special. He arranged with a winery (Duck Pond Cellars in this case) for a private tasting with appetizers.
He asked her to marry him there, then came to our B&B afterwards. He had also arranged for her best friend and her husband to stay at our B&B, so they all went out to dinner that evening to celebrate and continued their festivities the next day with breakfast and more wine tasting.
They were able to enjoy a whole weekend of getting engaged, with memories to keep for a lifetime.
A little bit about Chehalem Ridge Bed and Breakfast: Perched on eight acres atop Chehalem Mountain overlooking the Willamette Valley and Coast Range, our B&B offers a peaceful retreat near wineries. The contemporary house reflects the spirit of Oregon in each uniquely decorated room. In-room details like fireplaces, jetted tubs and private decks with expansive views complete the experience. Full gourmet breakfast, accommodating to food allergies, is included.
Wow! How thoughtful! Almost makes you want to get married again just for the experience! You'll find a wide variety of quality Oregon bed and breakfast lodgings awaiting you in Oregon Wine Country. Thanks to Chehalem Ridge Bed & Breakfast for this wonderful proposal suggestion!
