Celebrate Oregon's Sequicentennial at a Columbia River Gorge B&B

On February 14, 1859, Oregon was officially admitted into the Union.   The Discovery Center will be commemorating the event with a Free Admission Day.  Opened from 10am to 4pm, admission to the Discovery Center and the Wasco County Museum will be free!  The Columbia Gorge Discovery Center and Wasco County Museum, in The Dalles, Oregon, interprets the cultural and natural history of the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area and Wasco County.

Just west of Discovery Museum and Mosier is the town of Hood River.  The Western Antique Aeroplane and Automobile Museum (WAAAM) will celebrate Presidents Day by flying WWII "L-Birds" as well as enjoying the company and stories told by some local veterans.  The collection of 80 vehicles and 50 airplanes will be on display.   Event from 9am to 5pm at the WAAAM Museum and Jernstedt Airfield in Hood River.
