150 Days of Wine in the Willamette Valley
Feb. 14 kicks of wine event
Members of the Willamette Valley Wineries Association are ready to pop a few corks come Valentine's Day, the date when Oregon became a state 150 years ago. And Oregon Wine Country Bed and Breakfasts are there to accommodate you with Twenty Four quality Bed and Breakfasts!
The date also is when the Willamette Valley Wineries Association will kick off "150 Days of Wine in the Willamette Valley," a series of wine events and activities. The events are scheduled from Feb. 14 through Labor Day.
The 150 Days of Wine is part of a larger statewide promotion, Oregon 150, led by a nonprofit organization including volunteers from across the state. For more information on Oregon 150, go to www.oregon150.org. Or call 503-445-7120.
"It was a natural fit for our wine association to spearhead 150 Days of Wine in the Willamette Valley and partner with the smaller winery organizations in the region," said Sue Horstmann, WVWA executive director.
"The popularity of the Willamette Valley as a wine region has been growing steadily during the past quarter century, and while considered a new industry for Oregon we continue to attract visitors from all 50 states and international destinations as well."
