The Oregon Garden in the foothills of the Willamette Valley

The Oregon Gardne in the beautiful Willamette Valley

The Oregon Garden is located on 80 acres in Silverton, Oregon, and features thousands of plants in more than 20 specialty gardens.  It is the setting for a summer concert series, educational programs and other special events.

The city of Silverton needed to find a use for its reclaimed water and the Oregon Association of Nurserymen (OAN) was looking for a site for a planned botanical garden.  The city of Silverton purchased the hillside south of town and the partnership began.  What a great "sustainable" project!

The Signature Oak Tree and Oak Grove is one of 20 specialty gardens in the park and is home to the giant White Oak, estimated to be over 400 years old, along with many more trees over 100 years old.

Located just minutes from Salem, the drive to Oregon Gardens is a gorgeous one, along winding country roads through the farmlands of the Willamette Valley.

The fifth annual Oregon Garden Brew Fest will be held April 24-25.  About 30 local craft brewers will be featured.  There will be live music and great food on the grounds of the Oregon Gardens.

The Willamette Valley Innkeepers of the Oregon Bed and Breakfast Guild remind you to taste responsibly and reserve your room at one the many bed and breakfasts in this area know for its Oregon Wine Country Lodging.
