Valentines Day will be here in just a few days. So, for all of you who still haven't planned a fun day out with your honey, we at The Oregon Bed and Breakfast Guild have a few fun ideas.
Oregon loves cake and parties and celebrating it's historical achievements all around the state. However, The Monteith House in Albany is celebrating in a very big way. On February 14th, from 12noon to 4pm, you can enjoy a tour of the historic house, peruse the wagon and buggy show, watch re-enactors, take a romantic wagon ride and eat cake! Check out the Albany Visitor's Association for more fun and historic events being celebrated around the city.
Downtown Albany is all about "keeping it local" so after the buggy show and museum tour, stroll down the streets enjoying a handmade special valentine truffle from from The Peddler's Boot Antique Shop and Chocolate Boutique or sip a latte from Charlie's Rhythm and Brews on 3rd avenue. Oh, and don't forget if you want an over-nighter with your valentine, The Train House and The Pfeiffer Cottage Inn can make your romantic weekend complete.
