I love Brownsville, Oregon. I love the Corner Cafe in Brownsville and I love the little home town feeling I get when I go to Brownsville. Located in the Willamette Valley just about 30 minutes from Eugene, Oregon, Brownsville is noted for providing that home town experience filled with fascinating people, classic houses and a lazy river running through it.
Historic Brownsville welcomes you home by inviting you to a dinner theater event with National Storyteller, Willy Claflin. Bring your family to enjoy good food and entertainment with a combination of music and puppets on Saturday, February 28th. Willy Claflin has won a number of awards and has been a featured story teller at the National Storytelling Festival for the past several years. And, if you have your own story to tell, join other storytellers downtown for "Tunes and Tales", an open mic for experienced and amateur storytellers.
Brownsville is only 30 minutes from Eugene and I have to tell you about the River Walk Inn. An Oregon Bed and Breakfast Guild inn, located only a short distance away from University of Oregon and the downtown area of Eugene. Sounds like a perfect ending to a perfect day to me and if you are lucky enough to get a taste of the baked brie recipe on their website, you will be in heaven. I made it today and have to say it was quite a melt-in-your mouth treat. The innkeepers at this Oregon B&B have shared many recipes on their website and they are all quite worth trying.
Hope to meet you when Brownsville, Oregon welcomes you home!
